The Anglican Church Southern Queensland’s Hospital Ministry Team provides pastoral care services to patients in over 40 hospitals across Southern Queensland. They are at the cutting edge of ministry, meeting patients and their families at the most vulnerable times in their lives.
Position vacant — paid after-hours on-call Hospital Chaplain
The PMC is seeking caring and compassionate Anglican clergy with a call to pastoral ministry in the Brisbane region to provide on-call after-hours chaplaincy services to the Mater Hospitals, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital. As an after-hours Hospital Chaplain, you will be ‘on-call’ between the hours of 3 pm and 7 am to receive urgent requests and attend Brisbane hospitals to provide end of life, bereavement and spiritual crisis pastoral care to patients and families on an as needed basis.
At present, there is a need for someone who can provide on-call chaplaincy services on the fourth week of each month. Typically, there are between 0-3 call outs a week. Remuneration is a fixed amount for the on-call period (rather than an amount for each call out). This role could be compatible with an existing parish ministry.
