Communities of Care
Communities of Care: Creating Caring Communities
Under the umbrella of our Diocesan initiative, Communities of Care, Creating Caring Communities (CCC) is a course to enable, enhance and encourage caring Christian communities in which parishes, by parishioners using the skills and information provided in CCC, will develop into communities that offer safe and welcoming spaces for all who gather, whether existing parishioners, newcomers, staff or visitors.
Run by trained facilitators from this Diocese, the course is ideal for any parish that is seeking to grow and become more welcoming and caring.
Delivery of courses can be scheduled for a date and time that suits the parish. Facilitators will be trained in late April and courses will be arranged after that date. The Rev’d Ann Shepperson, the coordinator, will be contacting parishes and chaplaincy services in the near future to recruit facilitators for CCC. We aim to have trained facilitators spread across all regions of our Diocese so please consider who in your church or chaplaincy service might be suitable to train for this position.
For enquiries, to suggest a possible trainee facilitator or to arrange for a CCC course in your parish (in or after May), please contact The Rev’d Ann Shepperson: email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0408 983 193.
