Building Block: Ministry Review
Strategic Goal: Develop and implement an approach to ministry review that will assist clergy to flourish and grow.
Timeline of progress
- A Clergy Performance and Development Review Group was established in 2020.
- A Ministry Review Pilot was proposed and endorsed in early 2021 to test a variety of ministry review styles with active clergy.
- The pilot, which was completed in April 2022, involved 20 clergy testing five different ministry review styles.
- Feedback from the pilot participants has been extremely valuable, providing insights into the encouraging and meaningful aspects of their review experience, as well as highlighting some of the hurdles that need further consideration for a successful ministry review program rollout.
