Reconciliation is an essential part of being a Christian. The Anglican Church Southern Queensland’s (ACSQ) vision for Reconciliation is a future of openness where the First Nations Peoples will be restored to a place of equity, dignity and respect.
Fulfilling this vision, in part, involves truth telling and sharing stories. One of the ways we do this is through our Diocesan news site anglican focus. If you have a Reconciliation story to share, please email the Editor of anglican focus, Michelle McDonald.
Reconciliation Action Plan
The ACSQ’s Reconciliation Action Plan provides the basis for parishes, schools, Anglicare and other agencies to develop connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to share experiences, engagement and partnerships, thus promoting and fostering reconciliation throughout the diocese and the broader community.
The ACSQ’s Reconciliation Action Plan for 2021 and beyond is in the process of being approved by Reconciliation Australia and will be published soon.
