This workshop for clergy and those involved in pastoral care will focus on understanding the implementation of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) in Queensland and what it means for pastoral care practice.

Speakers

Professor Liz Reymond MBBS (Hons), PhD, FRACGP, FAChPM is the deputy director of the Metro South Palliative Care Service and director of the Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaboration.

Dr Katrine Del Villar is a postdoctoral research fellow at QUT, where she teaches medical law and ethics and statutory interpretation.  She was a member of the team which developed the voluntary assisted dying mandatory training for participating practitioners in Queensland and Western Australia. She researches voluntary assisted dying and mental health law.
