Professional Supervision

Professional Supervision

All clergy and stipendiary lay ministers are encouraged to receive regular supervision of their work and ministry from a qualified professional supervisor of their choice.

Professional supervision provides a safe space for clergy and lay ministers to explore ministry issues and reflect on aims, vocation and wellbeing. More and more churches are becoming aware of the need for and benefits of professional supervision for those engaged in ministry.

Professional Supervision Program

To better support clergy in their work and ministry, the Anglican Church Southern Queensland is introducing a professional supervision program for clergy and lay ministers. The program will be implemented in phases from 1 January 2021, with all licensed clergy and stipendiary lay ministers expected to have a supervision arrangement in place by 1 July 2023.
